17-Year-Old Crashes Into Column at Arden Road Bridge

A single vehicle was involved in a crash this morning at the Arden Road and Houston Harte turnaround, blocking the roadway for approximately 45 minutes.

Investingating officer Ed Hunger arrived on scene and stated, "A 17-year-old boy, he just came to that corner with too much speed, slid over and hit the bridge column."

The boy was driving a Toyota Tundra and had two female 17-year-old passengers in the vehicle when he lost control. The driver was taken to Community hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He will be cited for unsafe speed, Hunger said.

No one else was injured in the crash.

that's the problem with all these kids. They are all in a hurry to get know where. It's crazy how many wrecks there have been in San Angelo and I'm not blaming it just on the kids cause a lot of them are caused by adults as well. I mean seriously what happened to the value of life. Do people not value it anymore? They got lucky cause it could've ended a lot worse than that. All I have to say is people need to abide by the laws and respect the fact that when they are behind the wheel they are responsible for the people with them as well as anyone they hit.
A 17 year old male driver with two 17 year old females in the truck.... Wonder where his attention was ? ? ?
