Paint Rock ISD Opens Late Thursday Due to Forecast Icing Conditions

 

SAN ANGELO — The Paint Rock Independent School District start late tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, because of anticipated poor weather conditions, Paint RockISD announced Wednesday afternoon.  

The National Weather Service has issued weather advisories for freezing rain, sleet and snow to take place overnight leaving  poor road conditions for Thursday morning.  For safety reasons, school for Paint Rock ISD will start at 11 a.m. with buses running three hours later than normal.  

School will still dismiss at the regular time.

Paint Rock ISD Superintendent Ron Cline said coaches will be in contact with players and their parents about the school's participation, or not, in area basketball tournaments on Thursday.

Should the weather become severe enough for additional delays or cancelations, Paint Rock ISD will send out notices through news media sources and electronically.
