WATCH: SAFD Seeking Donations to "Fill-the-Boot" for Muscular Dystrophy

SAN ANGELO, TX -- All across town for the next few days the San Angelo Fire Department will be collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The event started yesterday at Jim Bass Ford. Here's the original story: SAFD Kicks Off "Fill-the-Boot 2019" at Jim Bass Ford

The firefighters are set up at four locations around town. They will be at Johnson & Knickerbocker, Sherwood & West Avenue N, Abe & Harris, and 29th & Bryant.

Here is a video of firefighters seeking donations this morning:

To donate just go to one of these locations and firefighters will come to your vehicle for the donation. All of the proceeds will be go towards the MDA.

All personnel at the intersections are still on duty and are still in service making them available to respond to 911 calls. The 2018 Fill the Boot total was over $55,000 and SAFD is looking to beat that mark in 2019.  Please be mindful of the firefighters as they are moving as careful as possible through traffic to collect donations.

SAFD will be on the streets November 6-8 from 7:30 am-5:30 pm.
