Yesway to Purchase Allsup's, Can You Still Get A World Famous Burrito?

DES MOINES, IOWA – Allsups is changing hands, but worry not the world-famous Allsup’s Burrito will be safe.

The Yesway company has made a move to purchase over 300 Allsup’s stores in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. The purchase has not been finalized and is pending regulatory approval process.

According to a report on KTXS, even though Yesway will be buying out Allsup’s, they claim they “will continue to offer many of Allsup's signature items and services, including the world-famous Allsup's Burrito.”

San Angelo is currently home to six Allsup’s locations.

"We are very excited to have selected Yesway as the acquirer of our company and the future custodian of our brand and legacy," said Mark Allsup, President of Allsup's Convenience Stores. "We chose Yesway as a partner because their values are truly aligned with ours. They share our commitment to support the local communities we serve, our unwavering pledge to our customers to provide them with a terrific shopping experience, and our dedication to the success and well-being of our employees."

Yesway is one of the fastest-growing convenience store chains in the United States.

This will not be an improvement. I've seen the local YesWays, and I wasn't impressed. On the other hand, the "world famous burrito" is just like every other fried beef and bean burrito.
Perhaps the best policy is to avoid convenience stores altogether.
