H-E-B to Stop Selling E-Cigarette

SAN ANGELO, TX -- H-E-B has announced they will stop selling all e-cigarettes. 

According to KTXS, the Texas based supermarket stores will stop selling e-cigs after numerous illnesses and 10 deaths have been reported. 

"At H-E-B, the safety of our communities and the well-being of all Texans is our top priority," H-E-B said in a statement. "Due to the unknown health implications of vaping, H-E-B immediately discontinued the sale of e-cigarettes last week."

This is coming after Walmart announced they were doing the same on September 20.

So they will stop selling e cigs, but continue to sell other tobacco products. Why not stop selling all of them? One is just as bad as the other.

So typical of what this nation has devolved into. Another "sky is falling" alarmist story trending nationwide and businesses fighting to be the first to ban this or that in order to appear proactive and saving us from ourselves and others.
So they lose a little business to the vape shops down the street, but at least they're trying. And the HEB execs can pat themselves on the back for being behind the scenes heroes.

Great point KM Mitchell! Retailers somehow think that if they take a popular political stand, they are somehow doing right. Nothing could be further from the truth. WalMart’s removal of guns is flat ridiculous when alcohol & tobacco kill ten-fold more than guns each year. Doing the right thing means all or nothing. Either remove all harmful products & take a judge/jury stance, or none of them & let the customer decide what’s best for them.

Over 600,000 people die each year of heart disease, I look forward to seeing all of their junk food and high sodium products removed from the shelves soon.

If 16 vaping deaths is a cause for concern, then surely hundreds of thousands of deaths attributed to crappy eating habits is nothing short of a national emergency.

you can get a magnum of pinot or ten cases of beer from their fridge. Really how hypocritical can you be????
