Tilted Mug Celebrating Three Years of Being More Than a Karaoke Bar

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Tilted Mug will be celebrating their three year anniversary this Saturday.

In May of 2016, Frank Zarauskas bought and remodeled the old karaoke bar "Wofford's" in an attempt to revamp and reopen under the new name "The Tilted Mug."

When Zarauskas was 19-years-old, he started in the bar business at Graham's Brothers in Midland. The bar then decided to open a Graham's in San Angelo in 1999 which brought Zarauskas to San Angelo.

Now it's three years later and the Mug is getting bigger and bigger. "We have started to bring relevance to the Mug by bringing in many different types of acts," said Zarauskas. The Mug will be having a Kris Angelis tonight from 7-9 p.m. and a new comedy act every third Saturday of the month. This month The Tilted Mug is bringing in Kevin Farley.

Here is a video of Kris Angelis:

Zarauskas feels that the reason the Mug has stayed in business in their excellent customer service. "Every time I hear someone has been to Tilted I ask them if they had a good time." said Zarauskas. "We want our customers to want to be there as well as feel wanted to be there."

The Tilted Mug will be having their third year anniversary Saturday and are having a party to celebrate. They will be having drink specials and door prizes. There will be a five dollar cover but they will be serving free food. There will be two bands the first will be a local band "Table Spoon" and the other will be the "Barking Spiders."

Tilted Mug is located at 3520 Knickerbocker Rd.
