WATCH: Sunday Morning Flooding in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo streets were flooded Sunday morning after a severe thunderstorm system blew threw the area with high winds, torrential rain and lightening. 

The National Weather Service office in San Angelo issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning as storms dumped three to five inches of rain across the city. 

Jackson St. by Angelo State University was completely flooded.

All the flood prone areas of town were inundated.  San Angelo Police warned everyone to stay off all streets in San Angelo while the flooding continues.

Officials caution that while the rain has ended, the flooding will continue for the next several hours and are advising caution while driving.
