H-E-B Releases Limited Time Cookie to Help Texas Disaster Victims

SAN ANGELO, TX — H-E-B launched a sweet effort to help people affected by Texas disasters with the release of a limited-edition cookie, H-E-B Choco Coco Twisters. For the effort, five percent of proceeds will help people affected by Texas disasters with proceeds donated directly to the American Red Cross.

Available starting on May 6 in H-E-B stores throughout Texas, H-E-B Choco Coco Twisters have coconut crème and bits of real coconut candy flakes sandwiched between two chocolate cookies to create a delicious treat.

Available through the summer, the limited-edition cookie is among the more than 1,000 H-E-B Select Ingredients products, which are made without artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, and hundreds of other synthetic ingredients.

Marking the first time proceeds from H-E-B Twisters will benefit a cause, the fundraising effort was motivated by the strength and fortitude shown throughout the state after Hurricane Harvey battered coastal communities throughout Texas such as Houston and the Golden Triangle, Rockport, Galveston and Port Aransas.

Exclusive to H-E-B, Twisters are delicious sandwich cookies filled with crème that’s stuffed with premium inclusions, creating big flavors that pack a punch. With seasonal flavors released throughout the year, other fan-favorite Twisters flavors have included Mango Chamoy, Mochaccino, Mexican Hot Chocolate and Candy Cane.
