The Painting Chicks Take on San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — There’s a new chick in town! Actually two chicks!

The mother/daughter team of Angie and Madi Friend have opened a boutique at 2565 Sunset Drive, in  the Southwest Plaza by Comet Cleaners, and it’s called “Painting Chick’s Revival.”

Who’s the “chick?” And what’s the “Revival” all about? Angie Friend is a well-known custom furniture painter who has operated out of her barn in Wall for the last 25 years. Clients referred to her as the “painting chick,” hence the name of the shop.

“Revival” is the expertise Angie has in restoring old furniture and bringing pieces back to life.

Angie, and her daughter Madi, opened the store in San Angelo to accommodate their customers with a shorter trip than visiting Angie’s shop in Wall.

“Mom just outgrew the barn, and we were overbooked with all the customers she had.”

Unique—in a good way—is probably the word that describes the merchandise, including jewelry, home décor, and fashion.

Visit www.paintingchick.com to browse the merchandise, and call 325-716-5597 to talk with Angie and Madi.
