The Concho Valley C.A.R.E.S. (Community Action and Resources for Empowerment and Success) Coalition, The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) and collaborating partners are eager to announce that they will host a five-day youth leadership camp July 12-16, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Camp will be held in person, at The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley, located at 3553 Houston Harte Expressway in San Angelo, TX.
The YOUth CARES Leadership Camp is intended for upcoming 5-7th grade aged kids and is free to attend. The theme for camp this year is ‘Superheroes in our Community’ and includes special guest speakers, activities, presentations, games and volunteer opportunities. YOUth CARES Leadership Camp focuses on the; characteristics of a leader, importance of giving back, self-esteem and integrity, how to handle stress, friendships, peer pressure and civic responsibility.
