Shannon Diabetes Seminar Open To Public
Shannon will host the “Living Well With Diabetes” seminar Tues., Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m in the Women’s & Children’s Conference Room, 201 E. Harris. This event replaces the annual Diabetes Update held each November. Anyone dealing with diabetes or interested in learning more about how this disease can affect them or their loved ones is welcome to attend.
During this two-part session Robert Grant, M.D., Shannon general surgeon and medical director of the Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine, will discuss foot issues due to diabetic wounds and the healing process. Elisa Brantly, M.D., Shannon Clinic urologist and Jenny Wiggins-Smith, D.O., Shannon Clinic OB/GYN, will discuss sexual health issues and diabetes.
For more than 20 years, Shannon’s diabetes education program has assisted people in the Concho Valley with diabetes education and management. There is no fee to attend, but pre-registration is required. To RSVP, please call (325) 657-5064.
