The AIC Supervisor works under the general supervision of the Assistant Executive Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all administrative and procedural functions of the AIC program and Community Service Restitution program.

AIC (Alternative to Incarceration) SUPERVISOR
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION/ JOB SCOPE:
The AIC program is funded by Tom Green County, but it is under the direct supervision of the Concho Valley Community Supervision and Corrections Department. The problem this program addresses is the local jail overcrowding for felony and misdemeanor defendants.
In addition to normal caseload duties of a Bond Supervision Officer and Bond Investigator, the AIC Supervisor assists the Assistant Executive Director in the management of the AIC program and CSR program. The AIC Supervisor directly oversees the daily ongoing casework and case management of the AIC Program and CSR program.
Performs random internal caseload audits to ensure compliance with standards and conducts performance evaluations on employees. Schedules leave for staff, ensuring adequate staffing at all times. Reviews end of month State Reports and reports prior to submission to District/County Attorneys. Assists with the interviewing of potential new employees as needed.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fully supervises and maintains responsibility for staff of employees as assigned by the Assistant Executive Director.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all administration and procedural functions of the Community Service Restitution Program, CSR Coordinator, and CSR Officers.
Screens and approves referrals for AIC program.
Coordinates with courts for AIC placements.
Provides AIC monthly reports of program activity to Judges and CSCD Administration.
Performs random internal caseload audits to ensure compliance with program guidelines, CJAD and Department standards.
Responsible for implementing appropriate, effective, and acceptable sanctions to address technical or subsequent law violations in lieu of revocation in accordance with Department procedure and standards.
Carries out supervision goals and objectives established by the Department, the Court, and CJAD
Reviews end of month State Reports to ensure technical compliance with CJAD
Assists with the interviewing of potential new employees needed
Responsible for performance evaluations of staff as required by Department standards
Schedules employee’s work and off duty time appropriately
Provides training and instruction to subordinate employees
Evaluates and counsels subordinate employees
Coordinates and distributes workload among the unit personnel
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING
The equivalency of an associate's degree in criminal justice or closely related field is required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required. One year full- time case management/casework management supervision of offenders with CSCD is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of skills employed in supervising techniques for organizing and coordinating work responsibilities and tasks, competent interpersonal skills to ensure the facilitation of the mid- management position of AIC Supervisor.
Must have the willingness and ability to complete all assignments in a timely manner.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and/or in writing.
Must have the ability to physically be present at work on are regular basis during assigned working
hours. Strong attendance is required.
Must have the ability to deal with high stress situations and the physical ability to conduct all phases of
the responsibilities and tasks.
Must have demonstrated attitude of being a team player, and a desire to perform job standards including spontaneous assignments are to me maintained
