BREAKING: U.S. Supreme Court Overturns Roe V. Wade

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  The U.S. Supreme Court has overturned Roe V. Wade Friday, the long standing federal law allowing abortion in the United States.

According to national news sources, the Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively ending recognition of a constitutional right to abortion and giving individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether.

The ruling came in the court's opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which centered on a Mississippi law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Republican-led state of Mississippi asked the Supreme Court to strike down a lower court ruling that stopped the 15-week abortion ban from taking place.

"We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives," Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court's opinion.

In Texas Robert Francis O'Rourke wasted no time in sending out a prepared statement:

“The only way to overcome today’s decision is to win this race for governor.

“The Supreme Court has sent this back to the states, and our state’s current governor has outlawed abortion beginning at conception with no exception for rape or incest.

“If you care about protecting a woman’s freedom to make her own decisions about her own body, health care, and future, join this campaign and help us win.”

This is a developing story.

Well, it looks like the left's intimidation tactics didn't scare the Supreme Court Judges like they thought it would. I suppose now they will start looting and burning cities. That seems to be the left's typical response when they don't get their way. You know, like biden and his ilk say "mostly peaceful protests".

If anything this will cause people to be more responsible killing a baby because it’s an “inconvenience” is flat-out wrong!

Howdy Doody fellow Regressives! Next on the list is same sex marriage! Then interracial marriage! Praise that sweet baby Jesus!

Cupcake, I have zero problem with how someone lives their life except for two things, they don't purposely interfere with my life and they don't demand I celebrate their life choices. I don't purposely do either of these to others. I'm a live and let live type. I do not, nor ever will condone killing babies, for any reason.

The one possible silver lining in this is that kavanaugh said he did didn’t believe you could punish individuals for traveling to another state to receive the service.  Hopefully this backs off some of the horrid laws in deep red states. Kavanaugh has already proved he will say one thing then do another so who knows

Yup.  Says one thing, does another.  That really instills confidence in these clowns, doesn't it?  And now women should be concerned that Clarence Thomas (remember Anita Hill?) will come for their birth control pills.

Oh yeah, all those “horrid” laws for the purpose of protecting our first and foremost right the Right to Life lol.

One of the few things i actually respect your opinion on even though i dont agree i understand your argument, however like if its legal in NY, texas should have no jurisdiction.  I dont mind it going to the states, its probably the most fair thing.  I would actually like to see it put on the ballot in states i think some deep red states would be surprised at the outcome.
