SAN ANGELO, TX –– Nearly a month after the Angelo State Police Department issued a wanted notice for 26-year-old Consuela Hernandez Martinez, an official affidavit was released in connection to her case. Martinez has been accused of causing substantial damage to a vehicle.
According to court documents, the incident occurred on Saturday, October 16 at Foster Field just before 5 p.m.
Witnesses at the scene told police they observed Hernandez-Martinez approach the victim's car parked in the Foster Field Stadium parking lot. Those same individuals then "heard a loud pop and what sounded like air rushing out."
According to the report, when witnesses asked Hernandez-Martinez if she had punctured a tire, she admitted to doing so. A witness then took a picture of the suspect and shared it with ASU police.
A second witness then reported seeing Hernandez-Martinez "scratch an image of a penis on the victim's vehicle" –– before leaving the scene in a black four-door sedan.
The owner of the vehicle later identified Hernandez-Martinez and confirmed they knew each other personally. The victim also claimed she had previous "incidents" with the accused.
The damage to the vehicle has been estimated to be $4,364.03.
As a result, Hernandez-Martinez was arrested for causing criminal mischief exceeding $2,500 but less than $30,000.
