How about including the address? I know this is essentially a sponsored ad, but come on.
in John Young Sentenced to Prison
Well, well, well..... Just under a week into it, I wonder how old Johnny boy is trasitioning from a dinner of Caviar, Lobster and fine wine to a dinner of a bologna and cheese sandwich, a handful of stale chips and a paper cup of water ? ? ?

So, he became a victim of a crime while committing a crime. Hard to feel sorry for this guy!
in Iggy's Italian Ice Has Closed for Good
Sad that San Angelo is losing so many stores of all different kinds. Restaurants, department stores, etc. Sure I did not go to all of the closed down stores most of the time, but others I knew of did. Now Iggy's. My son just received a gift certificate from Iggy's 2 weeks ago. Now what is he to do. They got the money for the gift card.
Sounds like this place won't be missed at all because with their name printed in this story is the first time I've ever heard of the place.....
Makes me sad that had to close. Though I did not go there often, I do think they had the best ice cream around.
in San Angelo Central Beats Down an Amarillo Tascosa Scare, Making 2017 a Perfect 10-0 Regular Season
Central is running HIGH and Lake View is running LOW. Thank back to 1981 when Central lost every game from Preseason to their entire Season. Sports is a game of not only Luck but Skill, having the right players at the right time. Back then, Lake View was running HIGH and Central was running LOW. How time have change. I congratulate Central for a great year and tell Lake View to keep their heads high as they gave it their all. Remember that both schools (all schools) represent San Angelo.
It sounds like they got something going on. Maybe a little combo of talent and coach.
When i was younger, we were still learning how to do anything.
My team lost most the times, but i would never trade that for what we learned.
one time, my mom put my football pants in the washing machine with a red sweater.
it was too late to solve it, and coach said I need you on the field.
So, I ran out there with my pink pants on and the whole crowd was laughing at me.
That just made me play harder. I think I sacked the quarterback several times in that game.
we were small 1a school though and we literally only had enough guys to make a team.
everyone had to show up or we forfeited it.
Don't forget Lake View, they had a perfect season too...... It wasn't easy, but with true sportsmanship and teamwork, they protected that big old goose egg on their season......
in Officials Confirm Death of San Angelo Policeman
i know that trying to make sense of things can be difficult.
we truly do live in a city of angels. i am not sure it was named on that intention.
for every difficult thing you face, there are also a lot of good people always.
i do not know the circumstance. i do know from everyone i hear , he was very well thought of and kind
so, i don't know. don't understand it.
maybe we should take better care of these fellows.
that is no way to retire.
in San Angelo Boy Scouts Get Sued Over Control of Historic Scouting Camp
Chop the hand off and give back what belongs to the children as originally intended. Tell the greed mongers to take a hike (pun intended) elsewhere!
How about a compromise? Lease the Camp to the hunters but not for all year. Use the money to maintain and improve the camp. Make a schedule where all Scouts in the TSWC can utilize the facility at a time where the hunters are no longer there. Seems simple to me but maybe there is "More to the Story".
Why is it leased for the entire year round? It appears that the TSWC maybe a slightly underhanded bunch with their eyes on the money and not the well being of the Boy Scouts or the camp. The good ole' boys will take care of things behind closed doors and the Boy Scouts will be sold down the river, all for the sake of some wealthy Houston weekend warriors! Hey, I'll bet the TSWC would have liked John Young for their lawyer, but that didn't pan out so well. Here's an idea, let the Houston wealthy weekend warriors travel to and hunt on Camp Sol Meyer and the scouts can once again use Camp Fawcett as it was originally planned!
