7-11 at Ave. N and Pierce St. Near Angelo State University Robbed at Gunpoint, Shots Fired

 

The 7-11 located on Ave. N and Pierce St. was robbed and shots were fired according to unconfirmed sources at the location. Police are searching for a Hispanic male with a 9 mm handgun. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and a black mask over his face. This happened at approximately 9:15 p.m.

San Angelo Police have blocked off access to Ave. N from approximately Johnson St. to Jackson St.

Update 10:10 p.m.

The suspect is still on the lose and K9 units have been brought in. Approximately 15 civilians have attempted to shop at the 7-11 during the aftermath of the robbery. The entrance to the 7-11 is blocked and closed. It's a crime scene.

Update 11:10 p.m.

The police perimeter is no longer active, however the suspect is still at-large.

Update 12:12 a.m. (Sunday)

No further word about the suspect, who presumably is still at-large. San Angelo Police are still at the crime scene where tape now wraps the front door area. There appears to be increased traffic on Ave. N; perhaps citizens taking a peek at the scene.
