Rockets to be Launched in West Texas This Week

 

VAN HORN, TX -- Blue Origin is set to resume rocket launch tests in West Texas according to the Federal Aviation Administration.  

The FAA has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for the Van Horn area where Blue Origin tested rockets previously.  According to the NOTAM, the airspace in a 17 nautical mile radius near Van Horn will be off limits to flights from Dec 11 to Dec 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, “To provide a safe environment for rocket launch and recovery.”  

A spokesperson for Blue Origin said earlier that the company was looking forward to testing new vehicles before the end of the year.
