Abilene's Only Practicing Midwife Passes Away

ABILENE, TX – Abilene’s only practicing midwife, Carol Hutson, has passed away. She worked in the Big Country for more than 30 years.

According to a local news source, the owner of Abilene Birth & Doula Associates stated there are currently three women working to become midwives as far as she knows.

The Association of Texas Midwives currently shows two other women who are practicing in the area. One is Kelly Miller here in San Angelo and Betsy Robinett, who practices in De Leon.
