Single-Vehicle Rollover in Abilene Ends with Fatality

ABILENE, TX- Just before 2 p.m. today, a single-rollover crash on Hwy 277 resulted in an an elderly man losing his life. 

A local news site stated, "Authorities say the man lost control of the white Chevrolet Silverado that he was driving and struck a telephone pole. Before striking the pole, the vehicle rolled."

As of now, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has not released the name of the elderly man involved in the crash. A DPS trooper noted that the name of the elderly man would be released after the next of kin was notified.
