Pit Bull Bites 3-Year-Old in the Face at Abilene Apartment Complex

A 3-year-child was bitten in the head area by a dog at an Abilene apartment complex located in the 400 block of Lynwood.

The Abilene Police Department received a call just after 2:50 p.m. yesterday, and when officers arrived, they found the 3-year-old bleeding from his face from an apparent dog bite. The child received medical treatment on the scene, but he was not transported to the hospital.

Animal Control arrived on the scene and took control of the dog.

“The dog is described as a Pit Bull or Rottweiler breed,” said APD officials. “The dog was located near the apartment where the child resides. The dog is required to remain in quarantine for 10 days after the incident.”

APD officials said the investigation into this incident is ongoing and being handled by Abilene Animal Services.

That poor pit bull was minding his own business when the kid provoked him . They should have quarantined the child for ten days at least . Isn't that what the morlocks in San Angelo want . By the way there was another story on the Big Spring news last week about another person bothering the poor pit bulls , lost a couple of fingers and is facing extensive treatment . Of course the live missed that story , they were busy writing stories from New York city !
