Central Run-Ruled by Belton for First District Loss

 

BELTON, TX-- The Central Lady Cats lost 10-0 against Belton on Tuesday for their first district loss.

The Lady Cats were able to hold Belton scoreless through the first three innings.

Belton would open the scoring in the fourth with two runs on a ground out and an RBI single.

Central would go scoreless once again in the fifth inning before Belton exploded for eight runs to win the game.

Bailey Fulps would get the start for the Lady Cats. She went four innings where she allowed two runs on eight hits. Ashton McMillan came on in relief of Fulps and allowed eight runs on five hits without recording an out.

The loss was the third time the Lady Cats have been held scoreless this season.

Central falls to 8-4-2 this season with a 4-1 district record. The Lady Cats will return home to face Waco Midway (11-2, 3-0) on Tuesday, March 20, at 6 p.m.
