SAN ANGELO, TX— Coming off one of the best seasons in school history in 2017, the second ranked Angelo State Rambelle Softball team was picked by coaches and the media to repeat as Lonestar Conference Champions in 2018, as was announced Wednesday on AngeloSports.com.
The Rambelles receive 29 first place votes, 28 more than rival West Texas A&M.

The Rambelles finished last season as National Runner-up with a record of 60-7. The 2017 campaign also saw the Rambelles win the Lonestar Conference regular season title and the South-Central Regional and Super Regional tournament.
The Rambelles open the season on Feb. 2 with the Colorado Mesa Invite in Albuquerque, NM, where they will play five games in three days before returning home the following week for the George and Ola McCorkle Challenge presented by Bahlman Cleaners.
