Tickets On Sale Monday for San Angelo Central at Mansfield Area Playoff Game

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Following the high school football win of the Bi-District playoff against El Paso Pebble Hills Friday night, the San Angelo Central Bobcat football team is advancing to the Area Playoffs for the UIL 2017 Football Conference 6A Division 2 championship. This game against Mansfield will take place in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

The game will be at the Vernon Newsom Stadium, 3700 Broad St., in Mansfield.

Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for students. The San Angelo Central block of tickets will be sold at the San Angelo ISD administration building, 1621 University Dr. in San Angelo, Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The San Angelo ISD is closed Thursday for Thanksgiving.

Tickets at the gate will be $8.

The game is Friday, November 24 at 7 p.m.

The winner of this game will advance to the Regional playoff game that will be held between Nov. 20 and Dec. 2. The winner of the San Angelo Central vs. Mansfield game will face the winner of another Area playoff between Fort Worth Byron Nelson and Waco Midway. These two schools will face off at 8 p.m. the same night at AT&T Stadium in nearby Arlington.

This is the second game of the six-game playoff structure. The sixth game is the championship to be held Dec. 23 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Last year, DeSoto in south Dallas won the 6A Division 2 championship.
