36th Annual Spring Chicken Affair Delights Thousands Sunday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Organizers of the 36th annual Spring Chicken Affair benefiting the West Texas Rehabilitation Center had great weather to serve thousands of fried chicken dinners Sunday.  

The annual fundraiser featured fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and dessert for the thousands who ate lunch between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday in the tents set up behind First Financial Bank at 3453 Knickerbocker Rd.  

Take out meals were also available and hundreds of people took advantage of that option.  The event also featured radio broadcasts and live music.
