Winter Weather will Delay School Tuesday Morning. Here's the List

SAN ANGELO, TX — A winter advisory from the National Weather Service in San Angelo predicts cold temperatures, below freezing, with precipitation beginning 6 p.m. Monday.

The San Angelo ISD anticipates poor driving conditions tomorrow as the temperature drops to 22 degrees F overnight with chance of freezing rain and sleet before midnight, then a chance of snow. NWS states there is a 40 percent chance of precipitation. They don’t expect much accumulation, however.

“Due to the potential of inclement weather conditions and the safety of our students and staff, SAISD will begin the school day tomorrow (Tuesday, January 16, 2018) on a two-hour delay,” said San Angelo ISD spokesman Derrick Jackson. “We will continue to monitor the weather overnight and throughout the morning.  If weather conditions necessitate any other changes to the schedule, we will communicate that in the morning.”
