San Angelo Native Serves in Bay of Bengal Aboard USS Nimitz

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- The U.S. Navy has sent LIVE! an update on a San Angelo native currently serving in the Navy abroad .

In a picture update, U.S. Navy Aviation Botswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Samantha Clift is seen chaining down an aircraft in the hangar bay aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) on July 8, 2017, in the Bay of Bengal.

Nimitz is currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
