Driver Airlifted to Hospital After Speeding Down US-67

 

MILES, TEXAS -- The Runnels County Sheriff's Office has just release information regarding a major motor vehicle accident that occurred last Thursday. 

Thursday afternoon, the Runnels County Sheriff's office was dispatched in regards to a vehicle headed towards Miles from San Angelo at a very high rate of speed. 

However, before officers could respond to the scene, the speeding vehicle struck a pickup and rolled several times before coming to a stop under the caution lights near Stripes convenience store on US-67. 

The driver was brought to Shannon Medical Center via Airmed1. Only the driver of the speeding vehicle was injured.

The crash was investigated by Miles Chief of Police Quentin Watkins.
