SAFD: Discarded Cigarette Suspected as Cause of Vehicle Fire

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A vehicle fire at 1600 block of Sunset Dr. near a storage facility started because of a discarded cigarette. Technically, firefighters are investigating what was described as a “smoking accident.”

The San Angelo Fire Department said one person suffered minor injuries in the incident. Firefighters responded quickly and extinguished the flames before our reporter arrived.
