SAN ANGELO, TX - Christmas shopping can be tough, especially when it's hard to decode what people really want. This holiday season, the biggest struggle for most parents is finding the perfect present for their teenagers. For those who are struggling with last minute shopping, LIVE! has a few gift ideas families can find in local stores.
According to a survey conducted by Ebates.com, parents often mistake what teenagers want so they decided to break things down and make the process easier. The survey yielded the following results:
- 60.4 percent want clothing or shoes
- 36.8 percent want sweets or candy
- 35.4 percent want accessories
- 25.0 percent want electronics or money/gift cards
- 22.8 percent want sporting goods.
While 41.1 percent teens indicated they were "over" the clothes and shoes they had previously received during Christmas, 36.4 percent said they were still "in love" with the items.
Additionally, nearly 25 percent of teens said they want electronics, and here is what Ebates.com found they prefer.
- 45.6 percent want laptops or tablets
- 33.6 percent want a new iPhone
- 30.8 percent want gaming consoles
- 19.2 percent want digital cameras
- 16.4 percent want a Samsung Galaxy
- 12.8 percent want drones
- 11.8 percent want a VR Headset
- 11.8 percent want a FitBit or wearable fitness device
