Angelo State Alumni Choir Christmas Concert

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- A press release from Angelo State University has announced that its select alumni choir, the Voices Unlimited Quartet (VUQ), will be presenting their annual Christmas Concert.

On Friday, Dec. 16, the VUQ will have their concert at the Mt. Carmel Hermitage Monastery in Christoval.

The concert is free and open to the public, and will begin at 7 p.m. A reception will follow the concert, and the Hermitage gift shop will be open.

The press release said, “In tribute to the Mexican Christmas tradition of Las Posadas, the group will sing selections from Conrad Susa’s “Carols and Lullabies of the Southwest.” Other selections will include a medley of favorite songs from Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” and a medley of “bell carols” arranged by the group’s director and accompanist, Dr. Pamela Lee, ASU professor of music and director of choral activities.”

The VUQ includes Patti Wetzel, soprano; Suzi Reynolds, alto; Jake Keefer, tenor; and Mark Cooper, baritone.
