Motorcyclist and Deer Collide on Knickerbocker Road

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Earlier this evening, at around 7:30 p.m., the San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to a major crash. The crash involved a motorcycle and a deer, and occurred on Knickerbocker Rd., near the airport entrance.

An officer at the scene stated, “From what we can see, [the driver] was going northbound, and I guess he saw the deer and realized he was probably going

to hit [it]; so, he locked on the brakes, laid the bike down and hit the deer.”

Upon the first responder’s arrival, the driver of the motorcycle appeared to have a broken leg. Thus, he was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The officer at the scene noted that “[the driver] got away, maybe with a broken leg. He was talking; he was fine.”
