ASU's Symphony Orchestra to Perform a Halloween Concert

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Next Thursday, Oct. 27, in anticipation of the Halloween weekend, Angelo State’s university symphony orchestra will host its Symphony Orchestra Halloween Concert. The concert will take place in the ASU Auditorium located in the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N.

The musical program features “Hoe-Down” from the ballet “Rodeo” by Aaron Copland, the famous “March to the Scaffold” from Hector Berlioz’ “Sinfonie Fantastique”, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera Suite” and Johann Strauss’s playful “Pizzicato Polka.” To cap the performance off, the symphony orchestra will play the “The Complete Harry Potter” featuring the themes from all eight Harry Potter movies arranged by Jerry Brubaker.

The ASU Symphony Orchestra is conducted by assistant professor of music Fagner M. Rocha.
