At this time, City of San Angelo workers are attempting to stop the gush of water flowing from a leak in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
San Angelo Police sent out a Nixle alert at 8:07 p.m. asking residents to please not call 911. The situation is being fixed.

Update 8:45 a.m.
Brian Groves, Multimedia Coordinator with the City of San Angelo, said the leak was from a 16” line on MLK that failed.
"Nothing caused it; it was just a failure of the pipe," he said.
City crews have repaired the leak, and water was restored at approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning. Crews are continuing to backfill and clean up the area now.

With this street paving project coming up soon. Does this mean the City of San Angelo (Fathers) are going to let the paving go on before they replace the old water mains under Martin Luther King Blvd.? I hate the idea of paying for paving the same street twice.
