A bicyclist was hit by a large pickup truck towing a trailer at the intersection of A&M Street and Beauregard Avenue.
According to San Angelo police, the bicyclist was southbound on A&M and failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign for the pickup and trailer westbound on Beauregard. The bicyclist hit the mirror on the side of the pickup.
The investigating officer issued a citation to the bicyclist for failure to yield at a stop sign before loading him up in an ambulance to head to the hospital. The bicyclist wasn't seriously injured, police said. He is going to go to the emergency room for a checkup.
The bicycle appears to be destroyed. See pictures.
