Power Outages Reported in North San Angelo

 

Power outages have been reported in all of San Angelo's six zip codes, with the northern part of town (76903) being most heavily affected. 

As of 4:17 p.m., AEP Texas has reported some 5,330 households and/or businesses in San Angelo to be out of power. Tom Green County is advising those experiencing outages not to call 911, as emergency responders cannot assist with power issues and the lines need to remain open for emergency calls.

Currently, Shannon Hospital is running on generators, KSAN is down and Lake View is reported to also be offline.

According to reports, both Grape Creek and Carlsbad are completely out of power. 

The AEP Texas website reports the following numbers of affected customers in each of the zip codes:

Update 4:41 p.m.

Power is back on in Grape Creek and Carlsbad, as well as around Lake View.

Update 5:14 p.m.

The AEP website reports power hast been restored to all but 1,131 customers in 76903.

Update 7:55 p.m.

The AEP website reports all power is back on.
