While stickers may have been cool when we were kids, most of their usage in adult life seems to be an irritant on see-through surfaces that is difficult to remove.
Some stickers stick better than others, some just fall right off, but most contain a very similar slew of ingredients derived from petroleum.
When it comes down to tackiness, it’s all about the adhesive. Many adhesives these days are made from plastic resins and synthetic rubbers, which are derived from petroleum. Even the vinyl and synthetic paper are products of petroleum.
