Covid-19 Infections Continue to Dwindle in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Covid-19 cases continue to dwindle in Tom Green County. The San Angelo Health Department is reporting only one new case. 

The patient is a 25-year-old woman from Tom Green County.

According to DSHS, Tom Green County still has a while to go before reaching the goal of having 70 percent of the community fully vaccinated.

The DSHS data shows that in the county, only 42.34% of the population over the age of 12 has received at least one dose, while only 37.88% has been fully vaccinated.

Citizens 65 and over have considerably higher percentages. DSHS reports that 79.45% of people in that age category have received only one dose, while 71.95% are considered fully vaccinated.
