Free Cancer Screening for Women at Ector County Clinic

 

ECTOR COUNTY, TX — A new free clinic in Ector County is trying to help women who may not have insurance.

The clinic is a collaboration between the Ector County Health Department and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. The clinic will run once a week on Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Screenings for cervical cancer and pap smears will be provided at the clinic and those running the clinic are hoping to see 10 patients per week according to CBS7.

The clinic has seen 14 patients already, two of whom had cancer detected during their screening.

The clinic is located at 211 North Texas Ave.
