Shannon Clinic Welcomes Two New Members to Its Administrative Team

Shannon Clinic recently named new two members to its administrative team, said a press release Friday. Keli Ramsey has assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer and longtime pediatrician Doug Schultz, M.D., is now serving as Chief Medical Officer for the Clinic.

Ramsey comes to San Angelo from Portland, Oregon, where she served as Director of Clinical Operations for the Specialty Care division at the Vancouver Clinic. She has more than 26 years of healthcare experience in business operations and development, revenue cycle and clinical care. Ramsey also received her bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance from Westminster College and her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She assumes the duties of Gary Bowen who retired after 26 years at Shannon Clinic.

Dr. Schultz completed his bachelor’s degree at Trinity University in San Antonio and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed a residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston before starting his practice in San Angelo. He has practiced in San Angelo for 35 years, joining Shannon Clinic in 1990.  He has served as acting Medical Director of Shannon Clinic since 2002, and also served as Chairman of Pediatrics at Shannon Medical Center for the past 9 years.

Both Ramsey and Dr. Schultz will be utilizing their vast experience to help shape the future of Shannon Clinic as it evolves and continues to grow. Shannon Clinic now includes more than 250 providers in 35 medical specialties throughout 18 locations in the Concho Valley.
