Country Star Gary Allen to Perform in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – Gary Allan, Nashville singer/songwriter, owner of four No. 1 singles, and three platinum albums, will be in concert May 12 at the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage. Performing alongside Allan will be guest artist Tracy Byrd.

Allan debuted in 1966 with the release of his first hit single, “Her Man,” and his gold-certified album “Used Hear for Sale.” His third, fourth, and fifth albums – “Smoke Rungs in the Dark,” “Alright Guy,” and “See If I Care,” respectively – were all platinum-selling albums. As a whole, Allan has released 10 albums, and from those 10 albums, 26 singles made their mark on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. As a native Californian, Allan’s music is heavily influenced by Bakersfield sound, especially Buck Owens and Merle Haggard.

Tracy Byrd, a native Texan, made his big break in 1993 with his number 1 hit single “Holdin’ Heaven.” Byrd has released 12 albums during his musical career, one of which, “No Ordinary Man,” was certified as double-platinum after spawning four top five singles and selling more than 2 million copies. Byrd also has four gold records to his credit.

There's a slight error in Gary Allan's debut date - it's 1996 not 1966 . He wasn't even born then :)

Have fun my West Texas friends - you're hearing two great artists!
