A Look at The 2016 Taste of San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX - This year’s Taste of San Angelo went off with a bang. On Tuesday, restaurants and servers hurried to prepare the final details as a long line of VIPs formed outside the doors.

Throughout the evening, San Angeloans were treated to an extensive variety of different delectable treats, silent auction items and raffle drawings.

Some of the booths depicted themes this year. Julio’s showcased its support for the boys in blue, and also raffled off multiple “citations” where recipients won free burritos for a month. One particular recipient described her winning this “citation” as like winning the lottery.

Another booth had the Fort Concho Chief as a mascot, and some of the most delicious sopapilla bites with yellow jacket honey. For those of you who don’t know what that is, “It’s homemade honey with a sting,” stated the operator of the Lazy Ladle restaurant out of Menard.
