Mark McKinney Returns to San Angelo Tuesday Night

Just in case you missed him at Blaine's in June, he's back! Big Spring Texas' own Mark McKinney will take the stage at Fiddlestrings Bar and Patio Tuesday, Aug 2, at 9:00 pm.  

This show will include an acoustic set of Americana/Texas Country, and McKinney also has some good news to share. As of July 27, he announced via social media his latest project, "World In Between," is officially fully funded. 

"Kickstarter," which helped in this process, is a website that helps artists and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality. McKinney noted on his profile, "82 backers pledged $22,085 to help bring this project to life."

To his dedicated fan base, he added, "A million thank yous to each and every one of you who contributed to this album. I can't tell you what it means to me to have so many of you believe in me and my music enough to make this happen. I truly believe this is the best album I've ever made, and I can't wait to share it with you all this fall! You all have my continued love and thanks. I couldn't have done it without y'all."

Since his last stop in the City of Angels, McKinney has played to a sold out crowd in his hometown of Big Spring, as well as several other venues in the Lone Star state. Last month, he even found a little time to hang out with Bri Bagwell, whom he has had a recent duet with, "Why Haven't You Left Yet?," that made it to number one on the Texas Music charts.

Although music is his "full-time job," McKinney seems to have that much sought after balance in life, posting a recent video of his "fun snorkeling with the whale sharks in Mexico," and then another shot of how he and his friends relax.
