Two San Angeloans Arrested for Tagging Profane and Vulgar Graffiti on an Elementary School

SAN ANGELO — A San Angelo duo has been arrested after they allegedly drew graffiti including obscene images on a public elementary school’s property.

According to court documents, on January 3, 2023, a San Angelo Police Officer was dispatched to Bradford Elementary School, located at 2302 Bradford Street, regarding a criminal mischief complaint.

The officer met with a school staff member and observed a significant number of markings located outside on the playground, billboard sign, and pillars. It was learned that the graffiti included explicit language and provocative images of male genitalia. Investigators also learned the estimated cost of damages was documented at $15,500.00.

Surveillance footage from the scene location was reviewed that allegedly identified Hector Gonzalez marking various areas of the elementary school with what appeared to be a black marker alongside a female suspect.

On January 9, 2023, investigators spoke personally with the school’s principal who advised that she was able to identify the suspects as Gonzalez and Justice Guthrie, due to them both picking up a registered student from the school.

Gonzalez and Guthrie were arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on January 10, 2023 and each have a $7,500 bond.
