SWAT Team Surrounds Building in North San Angelo but Here's Why You Shouldn't Be Alarmed

SAN ANGELO, TX – If you were driving down 19th street on Tuesday morning you probably noticed a DPS SWAT unit surrounding a building. If so don't worry nothing is going on besides a training exercise.

According to our reporters on scene, on Jan 10 at around 10 a.m., the team began training exercises near the Tom Green County Juvenile Justice Center on the 1200 block of 19th st.

If you do drive by do not call police, media, or anyone else because this is just a drill. Law enforcement from Texas state troopers to local police do periodical training to help learn new tactics and sharpen skills so that dangerous situations can be handled as safely as possible.

The building where the training is happening at is a vacant building.
