Police Apprehend Man Following Chase on the North Side

SAN ANGELO, TX — At around 9:30 p.m., San Angelo Police were seen pursuing a pickup truck with multiple people in it. The pickup turned down an alleyway between 19th and 20th Streets between N. Chadbourne St. and Volley St. where it appeared that one of the suspects fled on foot.

Shortly thereafter, police with long guns drawn had surrounded a residence on E. 19th St. where the alleyway was located behind. Our reporter on the scene saw one suspect handcuffed and taken to jail.

SAPD Lt. Craig Thomason said the subject was wanted and ran when police attempted to stop him. The pursuit was a part of an ongoing investigation Thomason’s unit has been working for several days.
