Violent Criminal Sentenced for Brutal Assault on Girlfriend

MIDLAND, TX – A California man will spend the next twenty years in prison after a Midland court found him guilty of burglary of a habitation and assault family violence with a previous conviction.

According to court documents, back in November of 2019, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for reports of a disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found out 28-year-old William Fraiser had been involved in an altercation with his girlfriend and allegedly assaulted her.

Fraiser returned to the apartment complex the next day and kicked the door open. He then would attack the victim. The woman's screams were recorded during the 9-1-1 call.

Fraiser then ransacked her apartment and took multiple things before striking the woman again. The victim then ran to a neighbors unit to call 9-1-1.

Fraiser was eventually arrested in California on a warrant and brought back to Midland to await a trial.

A jury found Fraiser guilty on Wednesday night and sentenced him to twenty years in prison.
