Texas Man Pleads Guilty to Enticing a Minor

 

LUBBOCK,TX – A Lubbock Man faces life in prison after pleading guilty to attempting to entice a minor.

Gregory Alexander Perez, 32, was arrested on February 2, 2021 and was indicted by a Federal grand jury on April 18, 2021 after he attempted to entice a 15-year-old girl online.

Court documents say that Perez began messaging the young girl with an online messaging app. The child and Perez exchanged cell phone numbers and started to text one another. Perez allegedly sent sexually charged texts, asked for pictures, and asked the young girl to perform a oral sex on him for money.

Gregory Perez was arrested in a parking lot after arranging to meet with the child. He faces ten years to life in prison, five year to life on supervised release, and must register as a sex offender.

Perez is currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center.
