Former Lubbock Christian Schools President Arrested for Possession of Lewd Images of Girls

LUBBOCK,TX – The former President of Lubbock Christian Schools is under house arrest after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

According to court documents, Larry Tye Rogers was caught by his wife taking photos of a 15-year-old girl in the shower.

In October 2020, Rogers admitted to possessing lewd material and deleted the photos and videos he took.

A colleague confronted Rogers about the incident and Rogers said, “I guess I should resign.”

Rogers does not have a mugshot because the prosecutor did not want to arrest him. The magistrate allowed the release of Rogers on $15,000 unsecured bond.

Rogers can come back to court for his detention hearing but until then he will be under house arrest at his sister’s house. He can leave for work, medical treatments, church, attorney visits, or court.

Rogers is now required to register as a sex offender and if the pretrial supervisors believe it’s necessary, he will be required to attend sex offender treatment.
