How about we have a volunteer paint day one Saturday in May to repaint where the vandals painted. Instead of paying a paint company to come in and repaint. Simply buy the 5 gal buckets of paint color you can do color match at any home improvement store. I would be willing to come out Saturday morning an repaint. the maintenance already covered the graffiti so it just need a new coat merging into the old. It would save the district money, and get the community involved.

I do have to wonder about the cost involved in painting over some graffiti... First of all, doesn't the c.s.c.d. have a graffiti response team? The only costly factor there, besides the taxes we already put into that system, would be the different paints that would be needed... I'm not sure if s.a.i.s.d. is legally bound to contract the work out or not but I would imagine that that's not the case... Maybe spending that much to paint will bring some sort of deduction at tax time or be a use of certain allocated funds that need to be spent to continue justification of the receipt of those funds? Although I've not educated myself in this matter specifically, I do know that 15,000 is a steep cost for painting. I know that we've a slough of men and women on probation who could do our community a service here... It would probably not be something s.a.i.s.d. would approve of though due to the backgrounds of the probated? That could be mitigated by having them do it on a Saturday, I do know that they perform community service on Saturday's... If that's somehow a no go still, then let's go with Trusteria's recommendation for a paint day in May.
