If you will look at Lonnie Haley's record, he is arrested on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. I am sure is not paying his fines because he has several failure to appear. This is ridiculous! It is a waste of taxpayer money. He needs to either get help or be forced into a rehab. We are having to submit crimes online now instead of being able to call an officer.. maybe too much time is being spent babysitting Mr Haley. Our officers have enough crime to deal with to have to be dealing with this. And I am all for getting the man some help, but what is being done is not working!

Lonnie was arrested AGAIN this weekend - twice and released fairly quickly both times, even for the Terroristic Threat. I will be the first to admit I don't know all the ins and outs of the judicial system, so I would be very interested in knowing how this happens. San Angelo Live, would you please get the SAPD's take on this? Somehow, he is bonding out, but I would think that he would be unable/unwilling to go to court as would be required. It's obvious he has drug and mental health issues so for his own safety and the safety of our community, isn't there something that can be done?
